The five sentences to remember from the Democratic convention

"You did not elect to tell you what you want to hear. You elected me to tell you the truth (...) It will take more than a few years to solve problems that have accumulated for decades. " - Barack Obama

Far from the theatrics of his first speech to the Democratic convention in 2004, and still more his speech of acceptance in 2008, Barack Obama has mostly tried to reinvent the message of hope that had brought him to the White House.

By being more realistic, and less to dream the American people to reassure him. Democrats, President Obama head, knew they could no longer satisfy the two words forever associated with 2008: "Hope" (repeated fifteen times Thursday night only) and "Change". "Times have changed. And me too. I'm not just a candidate. I am the president," Barack Obama summarized a more reserved than usual behind a desk.
